About Me

Hi, I'm Meredith Parker.

I am a parent of teens and young adults. My daughter has ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism, and my son is gifted. I understand firsthand how important individualized support can be in helping students reach their potential.

Over the years, I've worked with students of all ages, from elementary, middle, and high school students learning how to manage increasing academic demands to college students and young adults navigating new responsibilities and life transitions.

While every student is different, many face similar challenges and uncertainties as they encounter new environments and increasing academic, social, and life demands.

Whether students are struggling or high-achieving, their feelings about themselves and their futures directly affect their self-esteem and confidence. This is why coaching and tutoring addresses more than just task completion. It helps students create a vision for their future, identify limiting beliefs, develop effective systems, and build the confidence and self-awareness needed to navigate challenges more effectively.

Student are developing.  They are not developed. They all share the need to navigate the process of growth and maturity. They need help developing greater self-awareness, confidence, and a growth mindset. For students in high school and college, where grades, deadlines, and future plans can feel especially high-stakes, maintaining success while developing independence is essential.

My approach combines weekly sessions with accountability and support between sessions to keep students on track, supported, and motivated. I bring warmth, support, and encouragement to every coaching relationship. When working with students and young adults, that connection truly matters.

Beyond coaching, I tutor students starting in elementary school, middle school, high school,  and college in specific subjects.  Please see the individual areas in the menu above for more specifics.

I hold a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and am an ICF-Trained Academic Coach. My background has given me extensive experience helping students strengthen organization, planning, communication, problem-solving, and self-advocacy skills. Most importantly, it has taught me that students thrive when they feel understood, supported, and capable.

My goal is not simply to help students get through the next assignment, semester, or school year. It's to help them develop the skills, habits, and confidence they need to navigate challenges independently and continue succeeding long after coaching ends.

In my free time, you'll usually find me spending time with loved ones, singing with local music groups, enjoying the company of my dog and cats, and savoring a good cup of coffee while watching a Florida afternoon rainstorm roll in.
